I wanted to be present and record this video on such a significant day for you, your family, the people of Uruguay,” and football fans in general, because of who he is and everything he has given to his national team and his country.
I am very lucky to be by your side and I know how difficult it was for you to make this decision because I understand how much it means to you to play for the Uruguay national team.
I just hope you like the tribute they are giving you. You deserve it for everything I mentioned before, for everything you gave to the team. You always gave everything until the last day. You are leaving a great legacy for the people of today and for future generations.
