At the Pebble Beach 2018 event in California, USA, Mercedes-Benz unveiled a completely new concept car called EQ Silver Arrow.
Created to pay tribute to the Mercedes W125 model that broke the world speed record in 1937, the EQ Silver Arrow possesses a captivating, futuristic design. Through the hands of director Gorden Wagener, the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow represents the Sensual Purity design philosophy with only 1 seat inside.
The entire body of the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow is made of ultra-light carbon fiber with a total length of 5.3 m and is painted in a silver color called Alubeam Silver. The driver sits in the center position, the design of the car is like an arrow piercing the wind so it can easily reach speeds equal to the fastest supercar in the world today.
The unique front design of the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow features a horizontal strip connecting the headlights and the glowing EQ logo in the middle.
Other impressive points in the design of the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow include the rear spoiler that pops out or up similar to the Mercedes-AMG Project One, the large shark fin that extends from the cockpit to the rear of the car…
The Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow wheel set has a cap that covers the front half of the 24-inch wheel. The exposed half of the wheel alone comes with 168 different spokes.
Inside the cockpit of the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow, the interior space has a futuristic space but still has a bit of classic with brown leather seats and steering wheel. Equipped with polished aluminum details and solid walnut wood bring style as well as sophistication to the interior.
As a car from the future, the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow has a touch screen integrated into the steering wheel. Here, the driver can choose between driving modes such as Comfort, Sport and Sport+. The Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow also has a panoramic screen that is located directly in the driver’s line of sight and can display many features such as virtual reality racing. With this feature, a virtual car will be displayed on the screen to race with the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow.
For more emotion, the driver can ask the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow to produce the sound of a Formula 1 racing car or the exhaust note of a Mercedes-AMG V8 engine.
The Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow is powered by an all-electric powertrain. The engine produces 738 horsepower (550 kilowatts) and is paired with an 80-kWh battery pack for a top speed of 275 mph (432.7 km/h).
