Developed based on the Celestiq, the Sollei concept car possesses a sophisticated and luxurious design, accompanied by a sophisticated interior space with a series of high-quality materials.
Once hailed as one of the world’s leading luxury car brands, Cadillac’s position gradually weakened in the early 2000s as its cars shared many parts with popular models. of General Motors. In recent years, Cadillac’s reputation has gradually been restored with the introduction of a series of new models, including the hand-built Celestiq electric coupe. Recently, the American luxury car company continued to announce the Sollei concept car – a sophisticated and luxurious two-door convertible, with a design based on the Celestiq.
The Sollei concept has a prominent black crystal shield grille combined with headlights placed along both sides. The car’s two doors have an opening angle of nearly 90° to support access to the rear seats. To create a perfect look, Sollei does not use a conventional door handle, but instead uses a button cleverly integrated into the car’s door border.
Sollei’s entire exterior is hand-painted in Manila Cream, a paint color that first appeared on Cadillac cars in 1957. The car is equipped with wheels up to 23 inches in size with a silver finish. shiny, while other metallic trim elements, such as the windshield surround, are painted rose gold.
At the rear, the taillight cluster is designed as a horizontal bar, extending the entire rear of the car. On the rear bumper there is another light also designed in an “L” shape.
Sollei’s interior space is completed entirely by hand using the highest quality materials. The dashboard area is equipped with a 55-inch screen cluster, including a driving clock, central entertainment screen and secondary screen for passengers. At the bottom there is another screen used to control the settings in the car. The wood paneling is made from five different types of wood veneer, hand-cut and each panel placed in the correct position. The seats are covered in Fine Nappa leather with a special color, capable of changing to rose gold when exposed to light, creating a sunrise color effect.
Speaking of upholstery, the Sollei is the first Cadillac to use a biomaterial called Mycelium (a material produced from natural fungi). In addition, the company also uses boucle fabric in the car’s interior, bringing a delicate warm feeling while still maintaining super light weight.
Besides, Sollei also impresses users by integrating a mini refrigerator in the rear seat armrest. Inside the Cadillac refrigerator is a set of glasses and crystal wine decanters with exclusive patterns.
In addition, the company also prepares customers with a leather-covered diary with hand-drawn illustrations and a leather tool bag. Cadillac leaders said that the company carefully researched customer preferences to choose what should be in the cabin.
Cadillac did not mention the Sollei’s performance specifications, but it is likely that this convertible will be equipped with the same engine block as the Celestiq. The coupe model has a powertrain configuration including 2 electric motors with a capacity of 600 horsepower and 867 Nm of torque, accompanied by a 111 kWh battery pack. This equipment helps the car accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 3.8 seconds and travel about 483 km on a single charge.
