The 1971 Marrone livery has appeared on classic Ferraris like the Dino, Daytona, 365, and now, it has been recreated on modern supercars like the Ferrari F430 Spider. This is also the main reason why supercar auction house RMSotheby’s can believe that it will bring in between $200,000 and $250,000 from the Ferrari F430 Spider with this special paint.
The auction for the Ferrari F430 Spider convertible supercar with a unique 70s “chocolate bar” livery will take place at Amelia Island on March 8 and 9, 2019. More interestingly, although it was produced 11 years ago, the Ferrari F430 Spider supercar with Marrone paint in 1971 has only had one owner.
Up to now, the odometer of the Ferrari F430 Spider convertible supercar wearing a “chocolate brown” coat has only stopped at 5,858 km. On average, in a year, the Ferrari F430 Spider supercar only rolls a distance of about 533 km, or about 44 km a month.
In addition to the special brown paint, the exterior of the Ferrari F430 Spider convertible supercar that is about to be put up for sale also has a set of original silver-painted multi-spoke wheels with black brake calipers. In addition, the yellow wheel covers combined with the black-painted “prancing horse” logo also create a personality for this “super horse”.
As the convertible version of the Ferrari F430 supercar, the Ferrari F430 Spider has a soft top that can be easily opened and closed via a button inside the cockpit. The soft top on the Ferrari F430 Spider only takes about 15 seconds to open or close. When the top is opened, it automatically folds into the space behind the engine compartment.
The car has a light brown interior. The highlight inside the cockpit is many details covered in glossy carbon fiber and aluminum. Although it has been used for 11 years, the interior of this car still shows no signs of aging.
The Ferrari F430 Spider is equipped with a 4.3-liter V8 engine, producing a maximum capacity of 483 horsepower and a maximum torque of 465 Nm. Engine power is transmitted to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Thanks to its weight of only 1,450 kg and powerful engine, the Ferrari F430 Spider can accelerate from a standstill to 96 km/h in just 3.6 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 300 km/h.
