Lamborghini is preparing to unveil the new Aventador SVJ at Pebble Beach later this month. But it will likely be a while before the SuperVeloce Jota will actually be available to purchase. So if you’re heading to Monterey for the festivities and want to bring home a 760-horsepower V12 Lambo, this could be your ticket.

It’s a 2017 Lamborghini Centenario – one of just 20 such coupes made. It’s in practically new condition, and it’s set to cross the auction block as part of Mecum‘s sale at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on the grounds of the Del Monte golf course.

Created to celebrate (what would have been) the hundredth birthday of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, the Centenario was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motors Show, 50 years after the Miura made its debut at the same event. It’s based on the same building blocks as the Aventador, but its 6.5-liter V12 was retuned to produce 759 horsepower (566 kW) and 509 lb-ft (690 Nm) of torque – more than the Veneno, and about as much as we’re expecting to see from the new SVJ.

What really sets it apart from the series-production Aventador, though, is its unique bodywork – completed at a dedicated, low-volume facility in Sant’Agata, separate from the main assembly line. It’s low and wide, made almost entirely out of carbon fiber, with a striking rear diffuser and a look all its own.

This example is the only one made for the US market in Nero Alderbaran with red trim, and has just 49 miles on it. There’s no telling to what degree a likely bidding war will escalate, but considering the $2 million price tag originally levied by the manufacturer, we wouldn’t expect to walk away with a bargain, by most any definition.
