Lionel Messi and his beautiful wife Antonella Roccuzzo took it easy on Monday afternoon while the star player for FC Barcelona enjoyed his last few days in Ibiza.
Messi has had a long break since he played so well for Argentina in the Copa América football event in South America. He seemed to be enjoying his time away from Barcelona while cruising the Mediterranean on a fancy yacht.
But Antonella, their childhood sweetheart, was more important than the beautiful coastline as the pair lovingly held hands during an appearance on the boat’s lower deck.
Messi, 32, put his hands on her waist and looked only at the brunette as they shared a rare moment of privacy.
The football player, who is due to start pre-season training in a few days, showed off his tattoos on his arms and legs while he was resting in patterned beach shorts.
Antonella, 31, was wearing a cool orange and white summer dress that showed off her toned legs when she joined her husband.
Messi’s Barcelona partner Luis Suárez, Monaco midfielder Cesc Fàbregas, and their extended families have joined the couple in Ibiza. They have three children, Thiago, Ciro, and Mateo.
The famous people have been staying at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, which calls itself the best outdoor club on the island and has 415 “luxurious rooms and suites” on its website.
But their visit to the party island of Mallorca has not been without controversy. Messi was allegedly confronted by a drunk fan who tried to “pick a fight” with the Barcelona star.
As things went badly for the Argentine on his night out in Ibiza, video footage from the weekend seems to show Messi being led out of the busy bar.
Messi is thought to have done nothing wrong, and the possible situation was quickly calmed down.
There is a short video on Twitter that shows the Barcelona star being led out of the club while being guarded by a lot of security guards.
He did say that the stories about him were not true in a recent Instagram post, though.
“Great night yesterday in Ibiza with friends,” the 32-year-old said. If you read something that has nothing to do with truth, don’t believe it.
“Like always, everything was great last night and everyone was wonderful!”
The dangerous forward’s vacation is almost over, but the new video adds unnecessary drama before he joins Ernesto Valverde’s team.
But later, the same user shared a video of Messi leaving the scene of the crime without any injuries.
Messi did not win his first international title at the Copa America. He led Argentina to third place after beating Chile in the play-off, but they did not win the tournament.
