McLaren Senna Semper is more impressive when appearing on the streets of Monaco with its entire exterior painted by hand.
As one of the most famous drivers in F1, Ayrton Senna entered the legendary temple with 3 championships for the McLaren racing team. To pay tribute to this racer, McLaren introduced the Senna supercar in 2017, which is based on the 720S model platform.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of his death, the British car company turned the experimental Mclaren Senna with chassis number PP744 into the world’s most unique “Senna Semper”.
McLaren Senna Semper was officially introduced at the Monaco Grand Prix 2024, creating no small excitement for followers of the most prestigious speed sport on the planet.
The original car has Mica Orange paint color, which appeared briefly in the movie “Fast X”. After that, this supercar was upgraded by MSO artisans with the colors of the Brazilian flag, which is also the color scheme of Senna’s helmet.
MSO has developed a new painting technique that allows paint to penetrate even the smallest details, making exterior patterns more seamless and vivid than ever.
The two sides of the car’s body are decorated with portraits of the Brazilian racer on the track and in real life, made entirely by hand.
The Senna logo appears on the aerodynamic wing, which contributes to creating up to 800 kg of downforce on the ground. This logo also appears on McLaren’s F1 racing cars.
Belonging to McLaren’s Heritage collection, this supercar is equipped with a European exhaust configuration. For versions for other markets, Senna’s exhaust pipe only has 2 ports, providing a more exciting sound.
Each corner of the car is decorated with the numbers of the F1 racing cars that Ayrton Senna wore when he was competing for McLaren.
McLaren Senna Semper is installed with carbon fiber racing seats. The seat surface is covered with Alcantara material, which has changed from black to a yellow/black color scheme.
The door tapi is decorated with this racer’s famous motto: “I have no idols, I admire hard work, dedication and ability”.
Although sharing the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with the 720S, the M840TR engine block has been upgraded from the M840T engine, with capacity increased from 720 horsepower to 800 horsepower and 800 Nm.
Possessing a Carbon Fiber Monocage III carbon fiber chassis structure, the car has a dry weight of only 1,198 kg. This helps Senna have impressive performance with the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a maximum speed of 335 km/h.
McLaren only produced 500 standard Sennas, in addition to 75 Senna GTRs, 35 Senna LMs and 5 Senna GTR LMs. In Vietnam, there are currently at least 2 McLaren Senna cars registered and issued license plates.
In the US, McLaren Senna has a starting price of 958,966 USD. The resale price on the secondary market of this car model is about 1.1 million USD.
On this occasion, high-end model company Amalgam introduced a 1:8 version of the McLaren Senna Sempre. This project took more than 3,000 hours of development, and more than 300 hours of hand assembly with paint and materials supplied from McLaren.
Only 30 models were produced, of which model #1 was sent to McLaren Automotive, while model #30 was given to racing driver Senna’s family. The price of this 1:8 car is up to 21,385 USD.
