No mechanical modifications have been made to the Dodge’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8
What you’re looking at is an intriguing mash-up between a 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye and a classic Plymouth Barracuda which is expected to sell for between $375,000 and $425,000 when it is offered up for auction at Mecum’s Kissimmee event in January.
Immediately making this Challenger stand out from all others we’ve seen is the custom bodywork inspired by a ‘Cuda. Every single body panel has been replaced with new parts made from lightweight carbon fiber, starting at the front with a revised bumper and a new hood. The front of the Dodge also rocks a custom grille and new headlights, two of which double as air intakes.

We’re particularly fond of the car’s side profile and rear end. When viewed from the side, the unique proportions immediately stand out with the whole car appearing slightly shorter and stubbier than a regular Challenger Hellcat. A set of two-piece billet forged wheels measuring 20×10 at the front and 20×12 at the rear have also been fitted and tucked neatly into the reshaped arches.
The rear is relatively simple by modern-day standards with a shapely bumper, twin exhausts that exit from the center, and a pair of rectangular taillights. Mecum notes that the carbon fiber panels have been bathed in a 4-stage candy translucent Purple paint and some darkened purple carbon accents along the sides.
The interior has seen a few alterations as well. One standout change is the addition of a Hurst shifter and some vibrant purple contrast stitching, gracing the transmission tunnel, dashboard, and steering wheel. Under the hood, the engine bay now sports a carbon fiber makeover, with a purple-clad supercharger for added flair.
No tinkering has been done to the Challenger Hellcat’s V8 engine, which continues to roar with a mighty 797 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 707 lb-ft of peak torque at 4,500 rpm channeled to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission
If this Challenger x Cuda piques your curiosity or revs up your bidding spirit, you can take a pit stop at the listing right here on Mecum’s track.
