Sea urchin – An animal that eats its own brain to grow

Squirrels appear throughout the oceans and often live attached to ship hulls or other objects such as rocks or coral. They are considered quite scary animals because they eat their own brains during development.

The English name of the sea squirt is Ascidian or Tunicate, or a more memorable name is Sea squirt, in which “sea” is the sea and “squirt” is the jet of water. Because every time a sea squirt spits itself out of its surface, a light jet of water is emitted.

Although they are animals, sea urchins look quite similar to plants with their bodies having no clear shape, usually they are spherical or cylindrical with many colorful colors. They are sexually reproducing species, each individual has both eggs and sperm (hermaphrodites). But because the eggs and sperm don’t ripen at the same time, they can’t fertilize themselves, so they have to “make love” with another sea urchin. Sea urchins have many different subspecies, living all over the world’s seas. When they are adults, they are very lazy to move, walking a few centimeters a day is a lot. However, sea urchins are still highly evolved animals due to their vertebrae.
