Beluga has natural smooth white skin: Beluga can occur in estuaries or nearshore areas, but they live mainly in the polar regions, to camouflage well in the snow and ice environment of the Arctic Ocean. Beluga has evolved to be the only creature with naturally white head-to-tail skin that reflects sunlight. An adult beluga will not be confused with any other species thanks to this characteristic bright white color. However, when a baby beluga is born, they will have to have dark gray skin until they are 8-13 years old and can turn into a shiny clean.
